VEV becomes a core member of CharIN

VEV brings expertise from the automotive and energy sectors to offer a fresh perspective on commercial fleet electrification.

VEV helps organizations deliver on their carbon reduction ambitions with an end-to-end fleet electrification solution that integrates across vehicles, charging infrastructure and power.  VEV is owned by Vitol, a world leader in energy, which to date has committed circa $2 billion to sustainable energy initiatives worldwide.

VEV supports fleets from strategy to design, implementation, and operations of EV fleets.  A core innovation is its CPMS solution, developed and refined by the in-house software team. This advanced technology provides real-time fleet management, enabling fleets to optimize their operations and cost-efficiency. VEV rigorously tests chargers for compatibility with OCPP, aiming to set standard tools for effortless checks.

VEV recognizes and values the work of CharIN as a global advocate in the development of charging infrastructure for the e-mobility industry.

Mike Nakrani, CEO of VEV said, “We are delighted to join the CharIN community and look forward to being an active member, sharing and exchanging ideas, and collectively adopting industry standards.  This is how we will together, as an industry, pave the way for a more sustainable future.”

With expertise in e-mobility and energy, VEV will contribute to focus groups and projects around charging infrastructure and interoperability, from a hardware and software perspective.

Hanno Klausmeier, VP Software Development at VEV said, “We are keen to promote awareness of our industry through CharIN’s education programs and facilitated networking and to enable continuous improvement. We wholly support CharIN’s efforts to improve Plug & Charge and make it more accessible to the market as well as a seamless experience for drivers.”
