CharIN showcases electromobility innovations and inspires new target groups at Greentech Festival Berlin

The Greentech Festival in Berlin on June 14-16, 2023, celebrated green technologies and new ideas to jointly shape the future of mobility. In the 5th edition of the Greentech Festival in Berlin, the CharIN team reached out to 11,5k attendees with new target groups such as companies, political representatives, pupils, students, and start-ups. CharIN organized several activities at the booth, such as a Lego Serious Play Workshop for students and a start-up contest with a core CharIN membership price.

The Greentech Festival provided an ideal platform for CharIN to showcase its commitment to shaping the future of electromobility. The CharIN booth served as a hub of innovation and inspiration, attracting enthusiastic visitors throughout the event.

Thursday was marked by a special visit from CharIN UK Ambassador Rodger Atkins, who added an exciting dimension to the booth activities. Atkins conducted a captivating interview with CharIN's Managing Director, André Kaufung, shedding light on the organization's impactful work and sharing insights into the future of sustainable transportation also regarding standardization in North America. The CharIN UK Ambassador also took the stage to moderate the thought-provoking panel discussion titled "Plug in, charge up, and let's talk electromobility." He highlighted CharIN's relentless efforts in securing interoperability and promoting unified standards.

The CharIN team invited international students from Malaysia, India, and Chile to build innovative models focusing on showcasing V2G customer propositions in the future

The last day was highlighted by the visit of Franziska Giffey, Senator for Economic Affairs of the Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy, and Operations, and State Secretary Britta Behrendt from the German Berlin politics. It was an honor to have them engage with our Executive Board, led by Michael Keller, and our Managing Director, André Kaufung. Their presence reinforced the importance of CharINs mission and the positive impact of collaboration in the field of sustainable transportation.

On Friday, CharIN also had the distinct privilege of witnessing the determination and ingenuity of dedicated entrepreneurs at the CharIN start-up contest. This exceptional gathering provided an ideal platform for inspiring business models that hold the promise of efficient and sustainable e-mobility in the future. CharIN extends its gratitude to the four esteemed pitching start-ups: Aqua superPower, RiDERgy GmbH, ME Energy - Liquid Electricity GmbH, and grivix GmbH.

The exceptional talent and commitment displayed by all participants left the CharIN jury profoundly impressed. While it would have been a pleasure to honor all four finalists, CharIN extends a warm welcome to the two exceptional start-ups who have won the esteemed status of CharIN core members: Aqua superPower Limited and grivix GmbH.

Aqua superPower is building a fully electric infrastructure of local charging networks for the global marine market, and grivix GmbH delivers reliable autonomous charging solutions that allow charging EV trucks and buses fully autonomously.
