Following the first two CharIN Tuesdays of H2, and the H1 2022 CharIN Tuesday focused on MCS, the panel will discuss the importance of Heavy-Duty Vehicles (HDVs) as a driver for e-mobility across Europe. For example, it was previously discussed how HDVs in Central and Eastern Europe could be the “work-horse” element which erodes the perception of electric cars being “rich persons’ toys”. Furthermore, the panel will explore what industry initiatives there are to facilitate the transition to e-mobility and whether the current infrastructure such as the electricity grids can sustain the ambition of European policy-makers.
The panel includes the European Commission, industry (grid and OEM) and the German governmental agency NOW GmbH which provides an opportunity for a multi-perception discussion to take stock of the current and future European reality.
