The European Commission has confirmed the continuation of the Sustainable Transport Forum (STF) and it will be supported by three sub-groups. This sub-group will assist the Commission in defining minimum principles and creating a governance framework that allows an open, single, secure and economically efficient management of the digital communications between the electric vehicle and the recharging infrastructure. Moreover, this sub-group will assist the Commission in order to support European and international standardisation, identifying and covering existing gaps, paving the way for harmonisation and convergence of communication standards and protocols.
CharIN is honored to contribute to the revision of AFID with consolidated input generated by its cross-industry members.
The CharIN Head of Public Affairs, Olivier Paturet, will be the CharIN representative in the group and main contact point for CharIN on all affairs in the sub-group.
“The selection of CharIN as a member of the Subgroup will allow us to actively contribute to the revision of the AFID. I am glad to be able to bring my perspective and experience as I did in 2016 when I helped with the work of the Subgroup on the creation of an electromobility market of services and the interoperability challenges for electro-mobility. The rich diversity and experience of the CharIN members will be of great help in my mission.”
