Thought Leader Africa and CharIN partner to advance charging interoperability in Africa

The collaboration combines CharIN's global experience in interoperable charging solutions, standards, testing approaches and regulatory frameworks with TLA's work connecting stakeholders around policy, investment, technical cooperation and implementation.

A central objective of the collaboration is to bring international experience into dialogue with the realities and priorities of African markets. CharIN and TLA will work together to support discussions around charging interoperability, standards and cross-border compatibility, while considering different technical and commercial approaches.

Topics will include charging standards, roaming, payments, data exchange, Plug & Charge and related regulatory considerations, helping stakeholders explore pathways towards compatible, scalable and user-friendly charging ecosystems.

The MoU also provides a basis for identifying opportunities beyond the Summit, including knowledge exchange, capacity building, technical working groups and other mutually agreed activities.
