PlugSecure becomes a Startup Member of CharIN

We are proud to announce that PlugSecure has officially joined CharIN as a Startup Member.

CharIN plays a pivotal role in defining and advancing global standards in e-mobility, and we’re excited to contribute our unique perspective on cybersecurity within EV charging networks. As the first security-dedicated startup in this space, PlugSecure brings deep expertise in protocol-layer monitoring, threat detection, and infrastructure resilience, tailored specifically for OCPP, OCPI, and other open standards that CharIN champions.

Our motivation to join is clear: to actively collaborate with the international ecosystem of OEMs, CPOs, and technology leaders working to ensure that the future of EV charging is not only interoperable but also secure. We aim to support CharIN’s mission by contributing technical insights from real-world threat research and helping accelerate the industry’s readiness for regulations like NIS2.

PlugSecure was founded by a team with firsthand experience in e-mobility operations and cyberattacks. Our platform is already protecting charge points across multiple European networks, providing a non-intrusive security layer that works without patching firmware or taking chargers offline.
