Latin America
- one of the most urbanized regions globally.

Latin America has one of the most dynamic renewable energy markets globally: more than half of its power sector (56% of the total) is based on renewables – with some countries having 100% renewable electricity systems.

"Fluctuations in political and trade alliances have increasingly become daily agenda points in global geopolitics. With Rodrigo joining the team, CharIN's capacity to build bridges has been greatly strengthened, also with the purpose of creating healthy regulatory markets and technological convergence within and between Latin America and Europe. The global standards and technology we support have found their role within the EU-US Trade & Technology Council, and now the EU-India TTC; just to name a few. Our intention is to further continue this trend."
Glenn Cezanne, CharIN´s Vice President Global Government Relations
"After more than a decade leading engineering teams across Brazil and Latin America, I am truly motivated to join CharIN and help strengthen the regional e-mobility ecosystem. I see a tremendous opportunity to connect Latin American markets with more mature regions, accelerating interoperability, innovation, and sustainable growth. What makes our region unique is that much of its industrial base is already supported by a predominantly renewable energy matrix. This means Latin America is building advanced engineering and manufacturing capabilities on a structurally low-carbon foundation. I firmly believe that Brazil, Mercosur, and the broader region are ready to demonstrate their full potential to the world, positioning themselves as competitive and naturally decarbonized leaders in the global mobility transition."
