CharIN MCS Controller Testival EUROPE 2025 - Spain at Autel Europe was the first dedicated Testival to test MCS controllers' interoperability and performance—paving the way for the future of high-power charging in heavy-duty e-mobility.

In a groundbreaking event for the future of high-power charging, the first-ever CharIN Megawatt Charging System (MCS) Controller Testival took place from April 1-2, 2025, in Barcelona, Spain. Over the course of two days, eight dedicated testing slots were executed, enabling rigorous evaluation of SECC and EVCC controllers. This event marked a significant step forward in advancing MCS technology, reinforcing CharIN's commitment to shaping the future of seamless and efficient megawatt charging.

What is a CharIN MCS Controller Testival?

The CharIN MCS Controller Testival is a hands-on testing event designed to validate the interoperability, security, and efficiency of Megawatt Charging System (MCS) controllers. By bringing together industry leaders, technology providers, and stakeholders, the event accelerates the adoption of high-power charging solutions for heavy-duty transport.

  • MCS start and stop charging
  • TLS 1.3 (Transport Layer Security) for secure communication
  • Scheduled and dynamic charging for enhanced flexibility
  • Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology for optimized energy management
