Lotus Tech Innovation Centre GmbH becomes a core member of CharIN

LTIC, the Lotus Tech Innovation Centre, located in Raunheim, Germany, joins CharIN to promote the research and development of the next generation of charging technologies – supporting the development of the charging ecosystem worldwide and collaborating with other members for demand-driven refinement of charging standards.

Together with Lotus Cars and Lotus Engineering in the UK, Lotus Technology is the global ‘intelligent technology’ division of the Lotus Group specializing in batteries and energy management, electric motors, electronic control systems, intelligent driving, intelligent manufacturing, and many more. Lotus Group is part of Geely Automotive since 2017, the fastest-growing automotive group in the world. Geely has a 51% controlling stake, with 49% owned by Etika Automotive, a Malaysian conglomerate.

Lotus Tech Innovation Centre is part of the Lotus global R&D network near Frankfurt Airport. It was founded in 2018 and focuses on the development of premium and luxury Lotus vehicles equipped with electrified propulsion systems and next-generation mobility technologies.
