IVECO joins CharIN as core member to participate in setting the industry standard for electric vehicle charging systems

IVECO has joined the Charging Interface Initiative e.V. Association (CharIN) as a core member with the aim of supporting the widespread adoption of electric vehicles. The association counts more than 200 members – industrial and automotive companies from across the world – that share its vision of developing and establishing the Combined Charging System (CCS) as the global standard for charging battery powered electric vehicles.

The association’s mission also looks ahead to the future, with the aim of drawing up requirements for the evolution of charging-related standards, such as inductive charging. “IVECO aims to play a leading role the industry’s energy transition through alternative tractions, and our participation in CharIN as a core member will enable us to contribute our electromobility expertise in setting the industry standards for electric vehicles. We are looking forward to work with the association’s members to support a widespread adoption of electric traction around the world.”
