The General Assembly serves as CharIN's highest democratic decision-making body and convenes annually. Through their voting rights, each member company has the opportunity to actively shape the association's work and key focus areas.
Steering Committee Elections
Every two years elected Steering Committee members must be reelected by the General Assembly. The following Steering Committee representatives were reconfirmed:
- Michael Bütlmann from ABB
- Klaus Heller from bp
- Oliver Adrian from Ford
- Mengjia Cao from General Motors
- Selvam Kandasamy from Mahindra Electric
- Gabriela Binasch from NXP Semiconductors
- Mariia Andreeva from Schneider Electric
- Karl Weinreich from Shell Global Solutions
Moreover, we are pleased to welcome three new representatives in the Steering Committee:
- Kor Meelker from ChargePoint
- Maciej Wojenski from Ekoenergetyka
- Dirk Großmann from Vector Informatik
Extension of Membership Opportunities
With the confirmed changes to the Articles of Association, we are taking an important step towards optimizing membership benefits and processes.
First, we will introduce a new membership category "Startup" as of next year. Companies that fulfil certain defined startup criteria can apply as members of this catergory. Startup members will get all regular membership benefits. In year three of the membership the company will automatically become a regular member.
- Gross annual revenue of less than 3.000.000 EUR
- Registered company for less than 4 years
- Not a subsidiary, joint venture, or any other type of spin-off of Regular/Core members (or companies only eligible for Regular/Core membership) where the Regular/Core member has 50% or more stake (e.g., profit, ownership, stock, governance) of the organization are not eligible.
- Must provide sufficient proof that they more than 51% self-owned and independent if is in any way affiliated with a Regular/Core member (or companies only eligible for Regular/Core membership)
Beyond that we will add the Megawatt Charging System (MCS) and the North American Charging System (NACS) to the general rights and duties of members listed in our Articles of Association and will add a reduced membership fee for members joining during the year as of next year.
The committee meeting ended with a networking opportunity at a Christmas get-together.
