The implementation of SDG 11 is intended to achieve a more sustainable design of urban development, settlement planning, and transport systems. It also aims at reducing the environmental impact of cities and ensures access to green spaces, public spaces, and sustainable transport systems for all.
When working on tomorrow's EV infrastructure, we are facing numerous responsibilities. It must be interoperable, but also sustainable. Ensuring a sustainable charging process is complex since a wide range of aspects must be taken into consideration.
A CharIN coalition has been formed identifying relevant criteria that characterize a sustainable charging location. Relevant aspects range from cable and connector management up to lighting and signposting.
The topics that could be further elaborated under the CharIN umbrella are bundled and further processed by this CharIN task force.
