E-Mobility Product Marketing Specialist at ABB
"Concurrently, by serving as a CharIN Ambassador, I am committed to actively promoting the alliance's mission and expanding its influence throughout the region, ensuring its critical work gains local traction."
My objectives
- Elevate public awareness and foster education regarding the crucial role and comprehensive benefits of e-mobility in Argentina.
- Drive the adoption of universal AC and DC charging connector standards, with a strong focus on promoting CCS as the leading global solution for interoperability.
Introduction of Argentina
- Accelerating awareness, knowledge, and adoption of efficient, low-emission transportation solutions.
- Standardize AC and DC charging connectors, specifically promoting T2 and CCS as the global standard.
- Establishing clear and transparent guidelines for charging service fees and interoperable billing.
- Promoting robust incentive measures for low-emission vehicles and comprehensive charging network deployment.
Competition from locally produced natural gas as an alternative clean fuel highlights the need to accelerate EV adoption and robust charging infrastructure deployment to secure the leading position of electrification in sustainable transportation.
The rapid growth of Chinese EV imports poses a significant challenge to charger connector standardization and interoperability (e.g., GB/T vs. CCS), underscoring the critical need to strongly promote CCS as the universal standard.
Professional background
As an electrical engineer, my career has been deeply rooted in the industrial and energy sector, complemented by extensive training in power systems, quality, and emerging technologies. My professional journey includes a significant background in the automotive industry and conformity assessment, providing a unique perspective on vehicle grid integration and standardization. In recent years, I have been deeply involved in EV Charging. My commitment to e-mobility was solidified through my Master’s thesis in Energy Management, which focused specifically on the development and promotion of fast-charging networks for electric vehicles.
- Pioneering foundational roles in Argentina's e-mobility landscape, including being a co-founder of the Argentine Association of Electric and Alternative Vehicles (AAVEA).
- Charging infrastructure partner for high-profile, long-distance EV expeditions, such as the 5,000 km Green Expedition on Argentina's Route 40 (2018) and British filmmaker James Levelle's "Race for the Future" trip for COP25 (UK to Chile, Argentinean segment, 2019).
- Significant contributions to EV charging standardization and professional development, including roles as Secretary of the Working Group on Charging Point Installation at the Argentine Electrotechnical Association (AEA), University Professor of Electric Vehicles in Automotive Engineering, and member of the commission of e-Mobility at the COPIME, Professional Council of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
- EV charging infrastructure product specialist and business developer in ABB Argentina.
