According to EAFO, there are 8.250 public charging points and 160.000 PEV in Spain, what means a ratio of 19 PEV per public charging point.

We need to grow the EV ecosystem by increasing the public charging infrastructure and extending the offer of EV brands and models. Future concepts like shared, connected, and autonomous electric mobility need to be pushed forward.

Furthermore, answers to the urgent requirements such as the standardization of V2X and MCS protocols as well as the implementation of “pay-as-you-go” systems are needed.

At the end of 2023, our country should reach the following specific goals: a charging infrastructure equipped with 100.000 charging points, 15% of them shall be fast and ultrafast chargers and a fleet of 250.000 electric vehicles on the Spanish roads.
