Registration Information

What discounts and registration deadlines should I be aware of (Early Bird discount, Late Registration penalty, Group Discount)?
  • Until 8 weeks before: 15% Early Bird discount on all tickets.
  • Until 3 weeks before: Regular pricing (Standard registration).
  • Less than 3 weeks before: A 10% late registration fee applies to all categories.

Group Discounts: If your organization is purchasing four or more individual Testival Participant tickets, you are eligible for a 20% discount on the fourth ticket and every subsequent ticket.

Note: This discount applies exclusively to the "Testival Participant" ticket category. Equipment registrations (EV, EVSE) and Public Day tickets are exempt from this specific offer.

To receive your custom discount code, please contact our team directly at testival@charin-academy.global before completing your purchase.

When is the registration deadline?
  • The registration deadline for participants and sponsors is typically two weeks before the event. Exact dates can be found on the official event page. Due to logistics and catering requirements, on-site registration is not available.
  • The registration deadline for testing equipment (EV, EVSE) is typically four weeks ahead of the event.
How many EVSE units can my company register for the Testival?

Each company may purchase only one EVSE Ticket to ensure a diverse range of testing partners at the Testival. A second ticket is allowed only if the EVSE or Test System is distinctly different (e.g., one AC and one DC charger). Identical or similar models will be placed on the waitlist.

What if tickets are sold out? Can I still join?

If tickets are sold out, please join our waitlist via the registration form. To ensure a balanced testing environment, we may temporarily pause one category (EV or EVSE) to align participant numbers. Waitlisted guests will be notified as spots become available.

Conference & Public Day Information

What is the difference between the Conference and the Public Day?

The CharIN Conference is a high-level strategic event featuring keynote speeches, panel discussions with industry leaders, and deep-dives into the future of e-mobility standards. It is geared towards executives, policy-makers, and business developers.

The Public Day is an open-house format designed for Business Developers, Marketing Professionals, Press, and Students who wish to explore the event without participating in hands-on testing. The Public Day Ticket provides access to one day of the CharIN Testival, featuring:

  • Introductory Presentations & Technical Showcases: Insights into the latest e-mobility trends.
  • Guided Site Tours & Live Demonstrations: A first-hand look at the testing progress and infrastructure.
  • Networking Opportunities: Connect with engineers and industry experts, including an exclusive networking evening event.
How often does the CharIN Conference take place?

CharIN typically hosts its flagship conferences twice a year, usually alternating between different global regions (Europe, North America, and Asia) to coincide with our regional Testivals. This ensures that our global members have the opportunity to participate in strategic discussions at least once a year in their respective time zones. Please check the "Events" section on the CharIN website for the current annual schedule.

What is the difference between a Tester Ticket and Public Day Ticket?
  • The Tester Ticket provides full access to the Testival. This ticket is designed for participants actively involved in testing equipment, granting entry to all activities across all three days
  • The Public Day Ticket grants you access to one Testival day, including a networking evening event. This ticket is ideal for attendees who wish to observe and explore the event but do not intend to participate in the testing activities.

Event Logistics

Will we be able to choose our testing booth location?

Our technical partner, Keysight, creates the testing schedule and assigns partners based on the technical data provided during registration. You can indicate your preferences, but please note that we cannot guarantee they will be accommodated due to the complexity of the testing agenda.

Testing and Technical Information

What is the Technical Briefing Call, and what if my team cannot attend?

The Technical Briefing Call covers the testing procedure with our technical partner, Keysight, and provides an opportunity for questions, taking place 2-3 weeks ahead of the event. All participants are required to attend. If you cannot attend, a recording will be available on the General Information page.

What documents are required before attending?

Three documents are needed to participate:

Safety Instructions – to be read and signed

User Agreement – to be read and signed

Technical Registration – to be completed online to facilitate round-robin pairing

Please email the signed documents to: testival@charin-academy.global. These are essential for our technical team to prepare the pairing schedule.

Finance Information

Why is there a 3% credit card fee?

Like many organizations, we incur fees for processing credit card payments. To streamline payment processing and reduce administrative effort, we have decided to accept only credit card payments during the final two weeks leading up to the event. Unfortunately, this means we are unable to waive or refund the 3% fee, as it covers the transaction costs that we ourselves are charged.
