CharIN at the V2G Business, Policy & Technology Forum 2026

CharIN North America’s Executive Director, Erika Myers, will speak at the 7th Edition V2G Business, Policy & Technology Forum this spring in Los Angeles. As momentum builds around bidirectional charging and grid-interactive vehicles, the Forum serves as a key platform for aligning policy, market design, and technical frameworks to enable scalable vehicle-to-grid (V2G) deployment across North America.

CharIN members receive 20% off registration with discount code CHARIN.

Recognized as the leading venue for V2G discussion and networking in the United States, the Forum convenes utilities, automakers, charging providers, regulators, aggregators, and other stakeholders focused on advancing the successful development and implementation of vehicle-to-grid solutions. The event provides a neutral, non-commercial environment where diverse stakeholders can collaborate on accelerating V2G standardization and adoption.

Host-sponsored by Southern California Edison, the Forum is designed to examine the practical obstacles limiting V2G scale-up and to identify implementation strategies that support grid operators and market participants across verticals.

CharIN is proud to participate as an Event Partner, reinforcing our commitment to advancing interoperability, open standards, and coordinated industry alignment for bidirectional charging.

Erika will speak on the session “Can We Really Achieve End-End V2G Interoperability?”, which will examine one of the most significant challenges to scaling vehicle-to-grid deployment: moving beyond custom-engineered, closed systems toward fully standardized and interoperable architectures. While many current V2G pilots rely on tightly partnered EVs, charging stations, and customized charging network operator (CNO) or aggregator platforms, the industry is now focused on validating and aligning the complete end-to-end system—from utility distribution management systems and DER providers to fleets of EVSEs and EVs. The session will explore the current state of testing and certification across system components, identify remaining interoperability gaps, and introduce work underway in preparation for a V2G end-to-end testbed demonstration, highlighting collaborative efforts to accelerate scalable, standards-based deployment.
