Functional Safety
Date: October 18, 2023 (virtual) Time: 03:00 pm to 08:00 pm CET
Goal:
ISO 26262 is a functional safety standard that can be applied to the development for electrical and/or electronic (E/E) systems in vehicles. ISO 26262 is an adaptation of the broader safety standard IEC 61508, from which safety standards for the nuclear, machinery, railway and other industries have been derived. It aims to reduce the risks associated with safety functions to a tolerable level by providing workable requirements and processes. This course provides an introduction to the standard.

Goal:
In this training, we will teach you the basics of electromobility so that you can have your say afterwards. Starting with the motivation behind the change, we want to show you the technical changes in and around the vehicle as well as the influence on the markets. At the same time, we want to give you the "right" understanding and the P3 opinion. You will get a P3 prediction on the brand development and we will also dare a technological outlook. Finally, we will get to the bottom of all the myths surrounding electric mobility, so that you can argue with facts at the next regulars' table discussion.

The OCPP 1.6 training is a comprehensive program designed to give participants a basic knowledge about Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) version 1.6 and its functionalities. OCPP is a widely adopted communication protocol that facilitates seamless interaction between charging stations and central management systems. The training covers topics such as message formats, data exchange mechanisms, and security considerations in OCPP 1.6.

Goal: You have understood the basic idea of charging electric vehicles and are interested in the possibilities that arise in addition to the "normal charging" of electric vehicles?
Then you are very welcome to this training. The role of electric vehicles in the overall electricity grid of the future will be examined in depth. Why will the power grid need more stabilisation in the future than in the past? To what extent can the millions of electric cars of the future, with their decentralised storage capacity, contribute to stabilising the power grid? What use cases are there for smart and bidirectional charging? And what will the technology look like in the future?
These are the questions we want to address together in the workshop. We will shed light on the situation on the current energy market and take a look at what roles an electric car can take on. We will also look at the technology of bidirectional charging in detail.
As advanced training, we will build on the basics of electromobility that can be learned, for example, in the "E-Mobility for Starter" training.

The OCPP 2.0.1 training is a comprehensive program designed to give participants a basic knowledge about Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) version 2.0.1 and its functionalities. OCPP is a huge leap forward compared to its predecessor OCPP 1.6. It provides an enhanced set of known features and various extensions to support the development towards seamless charging experiences (Plug&Charge, SmartCharging, Remote Diagnosis, Device Model etc.) The training covers topics such as message formats, data exchange mechanisms, and security considerations in OCPP 2.0.1.
