Charging Infrastructure - Designing a DC Charger

You are invited to participate in the “Live PLUS” Trainings "Charging Infrastructure - Designing a DC Charger" hosted in collaboration with EcoG.

Overview of all courses

With electric mobility growing exponentially in many parts of the world, providing charging infrastructure becomes an ever more attractive business model.

Whiel each design of an EVSE is unique, there are a number of common requirements that are important to know and to observe - this training series helps avoid the most painful mistakes.

How to approach designing an EVSE?

How to approach designing an EVSE? The most obvious starting point are of course customer and user needs - but right after that come technical standards and requiremments which may both limit the engineer's cerativity but also provide a welcome framework. In this course, you gain a fundamental overview over structural requirements to EVSE.

What you get!

This training class is provided in our unique Live PLUS format only, that is a full-length recording of a live workshop with multiple expert speakers from industry-leading firms in the charging space.

In addition to the comfortable and flexible self-timed full-length training, a live Q&A session is offered once per quarter with a charging expert. Participants also receive the full training material for self-study and further reading, as well as a CharIN Certificate of completion.

Who should attend?

This course is the perfect starting ground for experienced electrical and electronics engineers, program and product managers, project managers and product designers tasked with conceptualising and designing electrical charging equipment.

Agenda
  • DC Charger Architecture: Design Basics from a functional Perspective by EcoG
  • Building DC Chargers: Software Consideration and General Architecture by EcoG
  • Built-in Plug & Charge: How to Empower your Charger with PnC by Hubject
Your trainer
  • EcoG is a global IP and tech company working on the rapid expansion of sustainable charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. With proprietary charge controllers, reference designs and software, they enable companies to get products & services to market quickly and scale profitably.
  • Keysight is a testing equipment and software company empowering innovators to explore, design, and bring world-changing technologies to life. Their software-centric solutions serve across the entire design and development environment.
  • Hubject is a software company operating the largest eRoaming network for borderless electric mobility globally. Their Plug&Charge system enables fully automated charging capabilities.

Expert-Level (Duration: 3 h)

Building and testing a safe charging system

Almost finished with functional design of the EVSE, and now it's time for implementing safety functions, and proving that they work under all circumstances? This training class provides inights into important safety and certification requirements, and how to make sure they are consistently met - especially for the North American Market.
